The Cooper Family -

Such a joy to work with! Cassie and Josh are expecting their third child, baby Caleb to arrive in the next few weeks, so I was thrilled to do a shoot of the whole family at Tybee Island just before Caleb makes his grand appearance. Chloe is darling, just full of giggles and toothy smiles with her little ringlet curls bouncing all around her head. Cayden is focused and determined without fear, chasing after the birds on the beach and finding sticks to have a sword fight with. It was a very fun shoot for me and the stunning weather couldn't help either. Looking forward to meeting baby Caleb!

Welcome baby Parker!

Melonie and Zach West (with baby James) -

I was thrilled when our good friend, Melonie ask if I would be able to squeeze in a quick session with her and her husband, Zach before they welcomed their sweet baby into the world. I got to shoot with Melonie and Zach the day before she was induced and it was just amazing to me when I thought that in a matter of hours, that baby would be on the outside of her belly. After many hours at the hospital, I am so proud to announce that as of this morning, they are now holding their sweet baby boy James. We are so thrilled!  Check back for photos of baby James soon!

Laura, Brett and Maxwell Pipitone -

Well, I might be slightly biased. Ok, maybe more than slightly, but I think this little boy is the cutest thing ever. I have the pleasure of working with Laura and Brett to provide loving, nurturing care for their sweet boy, Maxwell several days out of the week. Laura is an incredible super mom who works, cooks the pants off of anyone I know and just finished a marathon. Brett is amazing with Max. He is a devoted husband, engineer and super dad that helps teach Max new things every day. Together I have no doubt Maxwell will grow up to be an incredible young man with a very bright future. I'm looking forward to being a witness to that journey.

Lisa H. & David F. - Engagement

What can I say?? This couple is absolutely ADORABLE! Every time I get to work with a engaged couple who are madly in love, I get melancholy thinking about my husband and I at that phase in our lives...(don't get me wrong, it wasn't THAT long ago, lol). Lisa and David have decided to tie the knot next year and even though newly engaged, have already started in the planning process. Between all the laughs, cuddles and kisses, this photo shoot was very fun for me to be a part of,  and makes my job so easy! From the little smirk on Davids face when he looks at Lisa to the sparkle in Lisa eye when she told me how they met, this couple is perfect together and I'm so happy that they picked me to share in this exciting time in their lives.   :)

Michele Howe -

Michele Howe is a family friend dear to my heart. The Howe family has been a part of my life for as long as I can remember and some of my favorite memories growing up involve the Howe family in some way. Michele is an incredible author of several books as well as a plethora of articles and publications that speak to her knowledge of life, health, family and her faith. I had the opportunity to work with Michele and Christopher Foetisch, M.D. to create some photographs for a collaborative book titled Burdens Do a Body Good: Meeting Life's Challenges with Strength (and Soul). The endless rave reviews of this book go on and on and I couldn't agree more with each and every word. Michele is an amazing woman of strength and faith and I am so happy that she is a part of my life. :)

Please check out the book with the link below:

Katie, Luke and Audrey Westman -

After making the move across the country to Georgia when my husband and I got stationed at Fort Stewart, I was excited to make some new friends and build a support system of ladies who understood first hand what other Army wives were going through. After being introduced to one of my husbands co-workers wives, Mallory Milster, she soon after suggested that I meet her new friend, Katie Westman, since our husbands all worked together. It was instant with all three of us, finally other ladies to talk to about everything! Girls to vent when our husbands jobs demanded more than necessary, girls to shop with, and chat on and on about our marriages, families and life. Katie Westman is an incredible young woman who has been a great friend to have through some trying times in the Army. We went through the ups and downs of our husbands deploying to Iraq, the birth of her first child, and lots of laughs throughout our time together. I honestly believe that God placed Katie and Mallory in my life at the exact right time that I needed them, what a blessing! Katie and her husband are now out of the Army and working in the civilian world with their sweet little girl, Audrey and another baby girl on the way. Even from across the country now, I believe Katie and I will be friends for a very long time. So excited to celebrate with Luke and Katie as their family grows!

Rachel Wehner -

I had the opportunity to work with Rachel to create some beautiful senior photos with her, her boyfriend and her amazing horse. Not going to lie, every time I work with a horse in photos, I get a teeny bit nervous. After hearing stories of horses spooking with the camera flash, ect., I wasn't sure what to expect. Rachel's horse was great! So calm and easy to work with! It was also adorable to see Rachel and her boyfriend, Brian, together. They were so sweet to each other and after some laughs, got a little bit more comfortable in front of the camera. Such a cute couple! Rachel is an amazing young woman who has a great head on her shoulders and the support of a great family behind her. This girl is going places and has the drive to get there. It is really refreshing to meet a young woman who is not only gorgeous on the outside but also really shows what a 'gentle and quiet spirit' should look like.

Beautiful Savannah Georgia -

Just wanted to share a photo of the Wormsloe Plantation historical site here in Savannah, that has breathtaking trees with Spanish moss that hangs down in a haunted way. My husband and I know we will not end up living here in Savannah forever, so we make an effort to enjoy it while we are here, amazing how time flies isn't it??

Nicole and Jim Zatko (and baby Logan!) -

I have had the privilege of knowing Nicole my entire life. We are actually third generation friends as our moms are very close (and to this day text back and forth like teenagers) and our grandmothers lived next door to one another many many years ago. Having a friendship like the one I have with Nicole is such a blessing. We have so much history between us, from awkward pre-teen memories and laughing so hard we cry, to spending the summers together riding bikes and staying up late giggling about boys. We were always together and when we weren't together, people noticed and ask why. We worked together as waitresses at a small local restaurant in our neighborhood, with the relief of having someone else who understood all our stories of crazy customers and ridiculous co-workers. We found ourselves in the same college program together and at any point the professor assigned pairs for a project, everyone knew we were both already paired up, without even needing to turn around in our desk and ask. The kind of friendship that can look across a crowded room and know exactly what the other is thinking. Nicole and I now find ourselves a few years into each of our marriages (both to amazing men, by the way) and Nicole, with a beautiful baby boy, Logan. I am so blessed to have known this kind of relationship and still cherish the stolen moments we can find to maintain our long distance/crazy busy relationship now. The sweet baby boy who was so lovingly in Nicole's belly at the time of this photo, is now an amazing 9 months old with an incredible head of hair and toothy smile. I cannot wait to show all of you how adorable this sweet little baby is and will post photos from our 1 year old photo shoot for Logan.   :)

Julia and Courtney -

Two of the most ADORABLE young ladies I have met and I'm proud to say that we are in the same family (my husbands cousins). Julia and Courtney are so full of life, they have a pure innocent joy about them both and I am so proud to know them both and see them grow up into amazing young women.  Can't wait to post new pictures of how much they have changed since this shoot. Stay tuned!

Stacey Niemeyer and Andrew -

This photo shoot was so much fun!! When I say I love my "job" (if that's what you want to call it), I mean it and this photo shoot was a perfect example of this. Many years ago (I cannot believe I just said that) I met Stacey at The University of Toledo during our undergraduate college work. She is one of the most dedicated, driven and brilliant women I know and after meeting the rest of her family, I can see that thread run throughout the family. I got the chance to drive out to Tybee Island on the most beautiful (very hot) sunny day and meet the family and soon-to-be family of the Niemeyers. This gorgeous family was so easy going and fun to work with. Stacey and her Fiance' Andrew are getting married in the coming months and I am thrilled down to my toes for them. This picture gave me chills when I saw it. I want to evoke emotion with the photos I take and for me, this picture does that. I wish Stacey and her family all the best in all the upcoming excitement, changes and growth.

Jennifer and Chris Foster -

Jennifer and Chris Foster (and English Bulldog, Winnie) -
I had the opportunity to meet Jennifer and Chris through a mutual friend that we have. Jennifer and Chris were expecting their first child at the time of the shoot (and now celebrate having their sweet baby boy in their lives). Not only were they two of the sweetest people I have ever met, they went out of their way to make this a successful shoot and create magic in these photos. They are both a sophisticated, modern couple with impeccable taste and noted style. I am absolutely thrilled for Jenifer and Chris with their new arrival and look forward to working with them in the future.

A Few of My Favorites...

Over the past several years, I have had the opportunity to peek into the lives of many amazing people and photograph a moment in time of their life. Some of the featured photographs hold special memories for me in different ways. I hope to paint a small idea of what is going through my head when I look at each of these photos.

Long Overdo.

Hello friends and family!
After too much time thinking about it, I am finally Blogging! I am so excited to to share with all of you a little peek into my world of photography and being an artist. Thank you so much for all the love you have all shown me up to this point and joining me along my journey in the world of photography and watching me develop and grow as an artist. I would appreciate your continued support, ideas, thoughts, comments, and love as I continue to grow.
My husband and I are currently stationed with the U.S. Army in Savannah, Georgia at Fort Stewart. We have been through many ups and downs with the Army and I will carry with me some of the best and worst memories I have ever experienced. My husband is an incredible man. He is a very tall, athletic, loving guy who would do anything for me. I am so blessed to have found my soul mate and best friend to spend the rest of my life with. While my husband doesn't share my love of art, he is one of my biggest supporters.
Stephen and I have one "child", our handsome English Bulldog, Mojo. You will see random posts, pictures and comments about Mojo, as he never ceases to provide my husband and I endless entertainment.
Having been stationed in South Georgia, my husband and I have been separated from our families in both Washington D.C. and Michigan. We are both incredibly blessed to have the love and support of our amazing families and would love to someday be able to live closer to them both.
I have a passion for photography. I don't know if all photographer feel this way, but I continually feel "exposed" when sharing my art with other people. I love what I do and pour my heart into every single photograph. When I photograph someone, I always try and photograph them as the whole world would remember them if they were gone tomorrow. I hope that people want to remember the smiles, laughs, winks, and expressions that happen more organically than an overly posed picture or awkward stance. I will never claim to be a "professional", but more of a seriously passionate amateur. Thank you for your love and support!
